One of Wine Country’s most spectacular fundraising events, Paws for Love offers an evening of fun, food, fine wine, and Valentine memories to cherish, with all proceeds benefitting homeless and abused animals of Sonoma County, the North Bay, and beyond. In addition to the sale of artwork painted by talented shelter animals, this event also features silent and live auctions offering award-winning wines, original art by two-legged artists, and many other exciting donations by area businesses and celebrities. A gourmet gallery showcase of Sonoma County wine and cuisine is also included in the price of admission to our 2012 event. We invite you to be our special Valentine in 2012 - and help many needy animals at the same time.

Auctioneer Skip Domingos will join us to coax your bids with his humor and wit in the live auction. Our silent auction is overflowing with gifts, getaways, services, art, and "something for everyone."

DJ Aaron Long will return with his tunes to entertain us, and we welcome pianist Jerry Green in our Wine Cave. If you are wondering what your pet is really thinking, you may want to visit Tarot by Louise sometime during the evening for a reading.

Our Wine Cave will feature wines, winery tours, and VIP tastings from your favorite local wineries. Our wine is generously provided this year by Mutt Lynch with ’07 Chateau d’Og, Pedroncelli with ’08 Alto Vineyards Sangiovese, and Kenwood with their popular white wine. For beer lovers, we also have Lagunitas and Bear Republic beers. Ulrike Steinke and her team will present tempting appetizers.

Among our special guests will be a few of the dogs who have been helped with our funding, and some dogs hoping to find their perfect adoptive home very soon.

For directions to the Finley Community Center, please view the map.

Once again, the fabulous Hotel la Rose, located in historic Railroad Square at 308 Wilson St. in Santa Rosa, will be offering a "Paws for Love" special for our out-of-town guests. The special rate is $99 for a Queen or King room, which includes free parking and all the hotel's amenities. Guests also qualify for a 10% discount at Ironstone Restaurant for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. For reservations (required) call 707-579-3200, and be sure to mention that you will be attending the Paws for Love Benefit to receive your special discount!

Advance Tickets to our event are now available for purchase online using your VISA or MASTERCARD. Cut-off time and date for ordering tickets online is 5:00 PM Friday, February 10, 2012. Tickets ordered online will not be mailed, but will be held for you at the door on the night of the event in WILL CALL.

Tickets are only $30 in advance, and they make a wonderful and ‘giving’ gift for the holidays! A gift of our event tickets is not only a very special way of saying "I’m thinking of you", but will also provide assistance to a homeless animal in need at the same time! So come on! Stuff some stockings with tickets to the best Valentine event in Wine Country!

THE PATIENCE FUND

A new fund established to support the fostering and adoption of dogs at risk, the Patience Fund has been created by a generous friend of Paws for Love. The fund is named for the donor’s mother, and we are told that this fund also represents the "patience" it takes to be involved in animal welfare…taking small steps, day by day, to save these precious lives.

To make a tax deductible donation to The Patience Fund, please send a check or money order to:
