One of Wine Country’s favorite Valentine fundraising events, Paws for Love offers an evening of fun, food, fine wine, and Valentine memories to cherish, with all proceeds benefitting homeless and abused animals of Sonoma County, the North Bay, and beyond. In addition to the sale of artwork painted by talented shelter animals, this event also features silent and live auctions offering award-winning wines, original art by two-legged artists, and many other exciting donations by area businesses and celebrities. A gourmet gallery showcase of Sonoma County wine and cuisine is also included in the price of admission to our 2013 event. We invite you to be our special Valentine in 2013 - and help many needy animals at the same time.

Our 13th Annual event took place on February 11, 2012, and once again, we raised funds to help animals in need by offering an evening of fun, food, fine wines, a huge auction, and original framed art created by shelter and rescue pets. The silent auction featured award-winning wines, art, jewelry, food, getaways, services and many other exciting donations from local businesses, celebrities, and loyal supporters from coast to coast.

The live auction drew a lively crowd who bid generously on wine and wine tasting excursions, a Winemaker Dinner at Thumbprint Cellars, a ski trip to Jackson Hole, vacation getaways, and a skateboard donated by the celebrity "Skateboarding Bull Dog" Tillman! Auctioneer Skip Domingos coaxed the bids with his humor and wit, stopping now and then to tell one of the 'stories' he’s famous for – drawing bursts of laughter from the crowd.

A gourmet gallery of hors d’oeuvres was provided by Ulrike Steinke and her culinary team. Our Wine Bar offered wines donated by Mutt Lynch, Pedroncelli, and Kenwood Wineries.

DJ Aaron Long entertained us all evening and also acted as our Master of Ceremonies. We welcomed pianist Jerry Green in our Wine Cave. Tarot by Louise, always popular, offered her readings in the Lobby.

Some of the dogs who have been helped with Paws for Love funding attended the gala, and some furry adoptable artists attended as well.

The memorable evening came to a close with happy guests carrying away their winnings and purchases. All 82 of the paintings created by shelter animals sold briskly, and our new Paws for Love logo T-shirts made their debut, proving to be a big hit at the merchandise table! As Paws for Love 2012 comes to a close – with all proceeds benefitting homeless and abused animals of Sonoma County, the North Bay, and beyond – put a paw print on your calendar for the 14th Annual Paws for Love to be held on February 9, 2013.

Paws for Love is presented by the Paws for Love Foundation. Proceeds from this gala event greatly benefit the animals of Sonoma County, the North Bay, and beyond. The Paws for Love Foundation provides resources and funding to shelters, rescue groups, and individuals dedicated to improving the health, welfare, and adoptability of unwanted and abused animals. Funds raised by this event are also used to rehabilitate adoptable animals by providing necessary medical treatment, food and training for animals in foster care programs.
