Tickets to this gala event are $30 in advance and $40 at the door. In addition to the sale of artwork painted by talented shelter animals, this event also features silent and live auctions offering award-winning wines, original art by two-legged artists, and many other exciting donations by area businesses and celebrities. A gourmet gallery showcase of Sonoma County wine and cuisine is also included in the price of admission to our 2009 event.

A new fund established to support the fostering and adoption of dogs at risk, the Patience Fund has been created by a generous friend of Paws for Love. The fund is named for the donor’s mother, and we are told that this fund also represents the "patience" it takes to be involved in animal welfare…taking small steps, day by day, to save these precious lives.

Event volunteers of all kinds are needed for our TENTH ANNIVERSARY PAWS FOR LOVE to be held on February 7, 2009. This annual event benefits many needy pets in the North Bay and beyond. The heart of this unique fundraiser gala is a gallery of original paintings by the animals themselves! These animals have been working all year, doing their part by creating their paw paintings for the upcoming showcase -- let's do ours by giving the time and energy needed to present a first class event!

With food, wine, and entertainment filling out the evening, there are plenty of areas where your help is needed! Whether you can give us an hour – or many hours – Paws for Love relies on the generosity of the many kind hearts who gather together to present this very special fundraiser. The time you give – whether a little or a lot – may mean the difference between life and death for an unwanted pet. Your donation of time will not only give you a rewarding experience, but will make a very real and positive impact on the lives of homeless and abused animals in the North Bay.

We offer a variety of volunteer jobs, such as: greeters and ticket takers, food assistants and servers, art sales, and clean up. Auction assistants are needed to monitor the tables and "spot bids" in the Live Auction.

Paws for Love is presented by Ellyn Jaques Boone and the Paws for Love Foundation. Proceeds from this gala event greatly benefit the animals of Sonoma County, the North Bay, and beyond. The Paws for Love Foundation provides resources and funding to shelters, rescue groups, and individuals dedicated to improving the health, welfare, and adoptability of unwanted and abused animals. Funds raised by this event are also used to rehabilitate adoptable animals by providing necessary medical treatment, food and training for animals in foster care programs.
